Vancouver Island is a magical place, particularly on its western coast. Here, the Pacific Ocean meets the coast of British Columbia, giving the beaches and nearby forests a primordial and wild feel.
This is a photo of Long Beach, located in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve just south of Tofino, British Columbia. A hugely popular spot for surfers, storm watchers and BC mainland dwellers. It’s an even more fantastic spot on a quiet rainy day during the spring. The undisturbed beach sand on a grey and wet day delivered no shortage of black-and-white photography opportunities.
